Recurring-deposit maturity methodology

An RD estimate applies recurring deposits to the selected rate and compounding convention. Each instalment remains invested for a different duration, so multiplying one deposit by the total number of months does not calculate interest correctly.

Bank compounding, instalment dates, missed-payment penalties, premature closure and tax treatment may differ. Compare the estimate with the institution’s official product terms.
